Have an interest in service rifle competition? The 2012 Small Arms Firing School ("SAFS") will be hosted at the Peconic River Sportsman's Club in Manorville, Saturday and Sunday April 21st & 22nd. Here you will learn from experienced competitive shooters, receive one-on-one coaching, and qualify to purchase a surplus M1 Garand rifle from the CMP.

THE SEARCH FOR THE GEN. WINGATE “SOLDIER OF MARATHON” TROPHY
This trophy was presented to the NYSRPA at the turn of the 20th Century. The links below contain a piece originally written by the late Colonel William Economos in the NYSRPA's Bullet in November 1997. The current whereabouts of this trophy are unknown and no words speak better than those of the late Colonel, a man greatly responsible for the New York State High Power Program that we all enjoy today.
